Given the park's stunning location overlooking the Atlantic, it was the perfect opportunity to create a bespoke, themed environment that would resonate with families seeking an authentic coastal getaway. The equipment needed to be safe, durable, and, most importantly, suitable for everyone from toddlers to teenagers.

A Fresh Start for a New Season
Mother Ivey’s Bay Holiday Park, located near Padstow, is a premier Cornish destination boasting its own scenic cove and private beach. To stay ahead of the curve, the park wanted to completely update its play provision in time for the new holiday season.
The goal was to provide something fresh and exciting for both new and returning customers. Given the park's stunning location overlooking the Atlantic, it was the perfect opportunity to create a bespoke, themed environment that would resonate with families seeking an authentic coastal getaway. The equipment needed to be safe, durable, and, most importantly, suitable for everyone from toddlers to teenagers.
Integrating the Cornish Coast
Our design team focused on Role Play with a View. We wanted to ensure that children felt like they were part of the coastline even after they left the beach. By selecting items that represent the local maritime and surf culture, we created a play area that feels deeply rooted in its environment.
Safety was also a primary consideration. By fully enclosing the area with secure fencing, we created a buffer zone where children can let their imaginations run wild while parents relax nearby, knowing their family is safe.
A Wave of Play Value
The final installation at Mother Ivey's Bay is packed with high-energy activities and imaginative role play features:
• The Penzance Princess Trawler: Our activity-packed flagship boat that serves as the centerpiece for nautical role play.
• Vee-Dub Camper Van Slide: A nod to the iconic North Cornwall surf culture, providing a unique and highly photographable play feature.
• Shipwreck Cableway: A high-adrenaline zip line for older children and teenagers seeking a thrill.
• Inclusive Swings: A mix of flat seats, cradle swings for infants, and a Coastguard Rescue Bird’s Nest Swing for multi-user and inclusive fun.
• Marine Rockers & Agility: Stepping logs and seal and dolphin rockers provide gentle movement play for the youngest visitors.

A Big Hit for Families
The new play area has transformed the park's outdoor offering. By providing dedicated seating for parents alongside the equipment, the space has become a social hub where guests can soak in the beautiful sea views while their children play.
