All-Weather Adventure at Treglisson Touring Park

Treglisson Touring Park, set on a sprawling 130-acre arable farm near Hayle, Cornwall, wanted to offer their guests something more reliable than a standard outdoor playground.

The goal was to provide an adventure play experience that could be enjoyed every single day of the season, regardless of the unpredictable Cornish weather. They needed a solution that offered the fresh-air feel of outdoor play with the security and comfort of an indoor facility.

The Eureka moment for this project came from looking at the farm's existing infrastructure. We identified that an underutilised, large-scale polytunnel could provide the perfect shell for a protected play environment.

By designing the play area to fit within this covered structure, we could ensure the equipment stayed dry and the surfacing stayed clean, extending the play hours of the park from early morning until late evening, rain or shine.

Our team manufactured and installed a high-spec multi-activity play area specifically tailored for the unique dimensions of the covered site.

Key Features of the Treglisson Project:

• Bespoke Multi-Activity Unit: A diverse range of climbing, sliding, and balancing challenges designed to keep children engaged for hours.

• Artificial Grass Surfacing: We installed a high-quality artificial surface that provides a soft, clean, and durable floor that looks vibrant year-round.

• Covered Environment: By housing the equipment within a polytunnel, we created a hybrid play space: sheltered from rain and wind but benefiting from natural light and ventilation.

• Professional Finish: The installation team worked meticulously to ensure the equipment was perfectly integrated into the existing structure, providing a safe and polished look.

The result is one of the most unique play offerings in the region. Treglisson Touring Park now possesses a weather-proof attraction that is guaranteed to please guests throughout the holiday season.
